An assembly will take place on Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 to address next problems we want to solve and work on communicating ways to:
help users to find librehosters
help people to librehost themselves
support each other
The result of this work will be communicated after the fact, since OFFDEM is an offline, in person gathering.
However there will be a Librehosters meeting with online participation the day before OFFDEM, where everyone can chime in, especially if you want to contribute to the reflection but cannot make it to Brussels.
Let’s discuss how we will articulate the online pre-offdem meeting and the offline work the next day. @flo2marsnet you suggested something that you pasted in the chat of the Jitsi but I failed to report it to the pad. Can you please repost it so we can adjust the agenda?
The Friday meeting is supposed to be hosted at the Caldarium by our friends at Neutrinet. I’ll get confirmation and details ASAP.
Following the OFFDEM O₂ Librehosters gathering, I’d like to propose reformulating the network’s objectives as suggested by @realitygaps, dropping the sysadmin support group and focusing on two aspects relative to the promotion of free software:
librehosters is a network of cooperation and solidarity that uses free software to encourage decentralisation through federation and distributed platforms. Our values connect transparency, fairness and privacy with a culture of data portability and public contributions to the commons.
I would be useful to make it more concrete with regard to the two stated objectives.
Additionally, the librehosters directory and JSON file should reflect these objectives and help both hosters to list their services, and people to find adequate services for their own needs.
